The Red Rose Rockets formed in October 2002 and are based around the Preston/Blackpool area of Lancashire although we have team members from all over Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
June 2008 saw the Team split, with 5 members, taking our 1st team,and dogs from our 2nd,and third team, and setting up their own fully trained teams. this left us with a few problems as we had enough to put together 3 teams, but had 4 dogs that had to go last!! 4into 3 will not go, so we have slowly been working on the problem with very good results.Although splitting half way through the season, left us in a difficult position,we have worked together as a team and finished the 2008 season with positive results.we aim to be competitive but most of all have fun; there's no room for blind ambition or individualism in this team, what we achieve we achieve together.
We train weekly at World Horse Welfare Penny Farm, Blackpool (an equine rehabilitation centre) and compete regularly especially throughout the summer where we often spend our weekends all camped together at tournaments as a team, it's not all about the dogs!

Len & Tracey have been doing flyball since 2001, and in 2002 set up their own team flyball team Red Rose.

Dave and Linda joined us in January 2008 although we have known them and been friends on the flyball cicuit for a number of years beforehand.

Nikki joined us around the end of 2004; she and Sam also do agility. Nikki is a very natural handler and regularly runs other team members dogs too...

Sue joined us at the beginning of 2005, she had previously been doing agility with her dogs (and still does)

Lucy and Jeff joined at the beginning of 2005; they had previously been doing agility with their dogs (still do!); Jeff is our chief boxloader (and a great job he does to) and Lucy is captain of the 'Rascals' (how apt!)

Sandra joined us in 2006 with Max. Max has trained up very quickly, we hope puppy Floyd will follow in his footsteps!

Chris and Jacqui joined us in 2007, they are currently training and running Charlie in starters as well as having new 'baby' Lolly to train when she's older!

Daisy is one of our youngest members, and is running rosie and amiee for lucy.
She is a natural when it comes to passing

Nana Val joined us this year (2009) having been in flyball a long time. Missy who was retired due to blindness,Has now started to run back in starters.
Smudge and Morse have a couple of lane problems but we hope to have them sorted for next year.
